Different types of Batteries

What is inside a Battery?

Examples include Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lead-Acid, Lithium-ion (Li-ion), Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4), and others. These batteries vary in chemistry, affecting attributes such as energy density, cycle life, and shelf life.

Rechargeable Batteries:

Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd): Good life cycle, susceptible to memory effect, used in portable devices and electric vehicles.
Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH): High capacity, energy density, and cycle durability, immune to memory effect.
Lead-Acid: Low-cost, reliable, used in heavy-duty applications like solar-panel energy storage and vehicle ignition.
Lithium-ion (Li-ion): Commonly used, high energy density, little memory effect, used in portable electronics, electric vehicles, and aerospace applications.
